The electrical training ALLIANCE will release a new eBook platform Thursday, March 2, 2023, to replace our existing system. eBook access will be unavailable on March 2nd from midnight – 6:00 a.m. ET during the migration. The details below tell why this is being done and what it means for current eBook users and Training Directors.
Advantages:
- The primary advantage is an improved reader experience that supports more devices than the older system currently in use.
- Available features are like what we presently have, such as bookmarking, commenting, and a tutorial on the first login. Unfortunately, any comments or bookmarks previously made in the old eBook platform will not transfer over to the new system.
- Users no longer need to email us to request a password reset. You can request password changes from the login screen and get password reset instructions emailed to you.
- A web reader and device-specific apps are provided, which work with current versions of iOS and Android. Most importantly the apps are regularly maintained and kept up to date.
Information for current eBook users:
- The current eBook platform will remain available for a short period while we move to the new system. However, it will not be updated with new eBook assignments, titles, or errata after going live.
- Once implemented, new assignments, titles, and errata will only be available on the new system.
- The old platform will eventually be shut down, so you should migrate to the new system as soon as possible.
- Shortly after we go live, all current eBook users will receive an email with the new account information, similar to the email below. It will come from donotreply@njatc.org.
