This next-generation course is designed to make print-reading skills more in line with current 
technologies. This new course replaces the existing Blueprint Reading for Electricians Textbook and its associated course. The electrical training ALLIANCE recommends that the online eBook reference be the primary source for students in place of the printed textbook. This online textbook is available on several platforms, including the web and Android and Apple apps. Each platform has its own requirements and compatibilities, but the web-based version is currently the most stable. 
The eBook enables students to have the best experience viewing large prints and detailed drawings. Although you can view large prints and detailed illustrations on a smaller device, more screen real estate is helpful in many cases. (more…)

Summary
The Online Learning System has a scheduled maintenance outage.
Date: July 3rd, 2021 from 9am – 9pm Eastern.
Affected Systems: The Learning Management System (LMS) and Training Management System (TMS) will be offline during this time.
Detail: This outage is to apply updates and improvements to our enterprise system. As the system has evolved, and continues to do so, this and other proactive procedures are applied to ensure that the foundation that our system relies on remains powerful, scalable, and secure.

The digital version of the 2021-2022 electrical training ALLIANCE Planning Guide is now available for download. The Guide will help with all of your planning needs for the upcoming school year.
The printed Planning Guide will be mailed out soon; however, you can access the digital copy now by navigating to the Members Area of the electrical training ALLIANCE website, logging in, and choosing Downloads on the left side of the screen. PTSI Online Learning System: My Records Area
How awesome would it be to have all of your important documents and credentials that you have earned during your time as an apprentice, or as a journey-level worker, right at your fingertips? Suppose an immediate need arises with your contractor, and you are needed to work at a secure facility, but before you can go, your clearance information is needed. Will you have it readily available, or will you miss out? The electrical training ALLIANCE is excited to announce one of the many amazing features within the PTSI Online Learning System (OLS) — the My Records Area.
Harassment Prevention: Awareness and Responsibilities 2020
The original Harassment Prevention: Awareness and Responsibilities course was made available on the LMS back in May 2019. This course meets the requirements for training on this topic as defined by The Department of Labor (DOL). While federally, there is no current requirement for renewal training on the topic, many states and jurisdictions require yearly recertification or training. Instructor Professional Education Sessions:
The virtual NTI professional education and experience for the I Group (or Instructor Program) have single day sessions created for Instructors.
- Monday is First Year,
- Tuesday is Second Year
- Wednesday is Third Year
- Thursday is Fourth Year and Advanced Studies
- Thursday is also for the Pre-I Group
Participants will enjoy interactive sessions with the Lead Instructors from each year focusing on:
- Reconnecting with professional education topics and with peers
- Reflecting on how previous skills have been successful or not
- Reconsidering practices from both the Professional Educators and peer attendees
- Reinvigoration for success on the next school year – no matter the challenges.
Please note that instructors will attend for the year they last completed; if you were in First Year in 2019 (or an earlier year), you should register for First Year in the vNTI 2020. If you are a new instructor or new to NTI, there will be a Pre-I Group session on Thursday. The Pre-I Group will meet with several Professional Educators who will offer them a tour of what NTI offers as well as providing insights into upcoming changes in the way apprenticeship training will be conducted.
All I Group participants will have the option to register to attend Technical sessions on the other days.

Some time-slots for each day have multiple sessions running concurrently. To avoid concern of picking one thing and missing out on another. All sessions will be recorded and reposted to the days event packaged course. This means those who register will have access to everything presented that day.

#TPTuesday Remote Learning Series Quizzes and Completion Certificates
After the popular question about how JATCs could determine if their students had watched the #TPTuesday Remote Learning Session webinars, the electrical training ALLIANCE recently completed the addition of both a quiz and a completion certificate to accompany each webinar.
Now you can simply have your students:
- View the webinar either live or later in the Training Partner Symposium course
- Take the quiz (gaining at least a 70% grade)
- Print/Download their own completion certificate as proof of completion.
Some have also asked for the ability to show licensing agencies the completion of the “course” in hopes of having the class count for continuing education credits (hours). For this reason, you will notice in the bottom right hand corner of the certificate is a code that is unique to each certificate. This is intended to help the licensing agencies feel more comfortable that the certificate was not in any way altered from the original and is specific to an individual.
